Vessels Of Hope: Chapter 2

A Call for Help

Sarah has completed the Vessels of Hope: Chapter 1 with 500 Vessels made and 500 Vessels Claimed  AMAZING!

It’s time for Chapter 2:

Unfortunately, we are all still dealing with Covid 19 and we all must continue to press into hope! The Village Potters Clay Center is not out of the woods yet. The amazing support we received from the project excited the whole TVPCC team (who are now back to work)  to take the torch and carry on the mission with a second round of Vessels of Hope: Chapter 2. The Potters participating are: Lori Theriault, Judi Harwood, Christine Henry, Julia Mann, Tori Motyl and Katie Meili Messersmith.

Judi is offering 100 – 1.5 lb saggar fired vessels. Each one is unique and no two are the same, that is the magic of saggar! If you’d like to support The Village Potters Clay Center and our community during this time check out with one of Judi’s vessels today by adding one to the cart. You will be notified prior to pick up or shipping. These pieces are being made now and will take a bit more time to be completed and ready to be in your hands and homes.

“The Village Potters as an entity is still struggling, so now… all the resident potters are taking part in VOH chapter 2, because ‘it takes a village’. Having hope within yourself is good, but to share hope connects us and releases power for change!  Now more than ever, we all need that connection desperately. So share some hope today – a word of encouragement, a bit of affirmation. Simple words shared can build hope even when hopelessness is knocking at your door.  So be a vessel of hope today to those around you, and if you can, make a donation to the Village Potters for a Vessel of Hope, chapter 2. We will make it through this, together!”

– Judi Harwood

Discovering new ways to sustain The Village Potters Clay Center during  this season of closure is our primary job now. As Sarah continues to apply for loans and grants and we all choose hope each day. Now that we have reopened and we are all back in the studio we are all hard at work, throwing, handbuilding, carving, and glazing and saggar firing these vessels each unique to each potter. Just as every vessel is unique so is each potter. Watch for demonstrations on our Facebook and Instagram pages where we will be sowing the seeds of hope and sharing our thoughts and our process.

*You can order more than one and give them as gifts.

Return to the top of the page  and click on “Add to cart” to purchase a vessel.
