Description

Raku Horse Sculpture by Judi Harwood

Dimensions: 10.5″ tall, 8.5″ wide

Raku vessels are low temperature fired, and not intended to be used for food or water.

Raku is a fascinating type of firing!  Pieces are pulled from the kiln at 1850 degrees and put into combustible materials.  The subsequent flame is smothered and the smokey atmosphere turns any exposed clay black with carbon.
