Description

The dramatic contrast of horse hair (and a feather!) burned into the surface of this beautifully thrown vessel is augmented with the effervescent glow of purple mica in the burnished slip surface. Each horse hair vessel is one of a kind, as Judi has a very short amount of time to apply the horse hair once she takes the pot from the kiln. These vessels are low fire and very porous and not intended for functional use without a protective liner vessel. Vessel dimensions are 8″ x 6″.
