Description

The Closed Form Pitcher is a signature piece of Sarah Wells Rolland’s body of work. In this workshop we will explore throwing an open vessel and then manipulating it into a closed form. In the process of making this piece will explore throwing finished (no trimming), altering the shape to create planes, darting and adding attachments (the handle and the foot).

This piece is an excellent subject for discussion about form, proportion, balance, negative space as well as additive and subtractive methods when making a unique form.  Clay has so many wonderful properties and the elements of this piece takes advantage of them.

Are you ready to take your skills and your pots to new levels? This workshop will inspire, challenge and ignite new energy in to your own creative process.

The video workshop is available for 90 days after purchase.
