Online Recorded Video Class: Throwing with Finesse Part 2

Fee $400.00

6 two-hour pre-recorded class sessions

In this pre-recorded class, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills and explore how a pot evolves and changes. There will be a focus on efficient throwing, using all the clay, balancing your pull with wheel speed, choking clay successfully, overhead handles and attachments that are clean, balanced and accent the form.

Each student will be set up to push their skill set beyond their current level. The class explores more complicated forms, tapping on center and integrated handles. You will learn to incorporate textured slabs onto thrown pieces and Sarah will share some really cool techniques she has created for throwing customized slump molds. You will have opportunity to increase the volume of clay you work with with the continued goal of using all the clay.  Assignments will be offered with specific goals that will catapult your skillset.

Whether you are a seasoned beginner or intermediate to advanced potter, this pre-recorded class will help you take your throwing to the next level and beyond. You have access to the recorded discussions (critiques) from the original live presentation of this course where students share their process and struggles, and “what if” conversations about balance, shadow, line, volume, integrated design elements and more.

You can view the demonstrations at your convenience.

This class is designed for intermediate – advanced potters. However, this class can work for a seasoned beginner. If you are curious whether or not this class is right for you please contact us at <info@thevillagepotters.com>.

Pre-recorded online classes are non refundable. You will have access to each class demonstration recording for one year from the date of purchase. Due to the prerecorded nature of this class/workshop, you will NOT have the opportunity to engage with the instructor as part of this purchase.
