Description

Throwing with Finesse: Part Two

6 weeks, Tuesdays,  Noon – 2:00pm (Eastern)

Fee 295.00

Part 2

We will continue to hone our skills and explore how a pot evolves and changes. Efficient throwing, using all the clay, balancing your pull with wheel speed, choking clay successfully, handles and attachments that are clean, balanced and accent the form. Each student will be set up to push their current skill set beyond their current level. We will explore more complicated forms and integrated handles. We will increase our volumes of clay and continue our goal to use all the clay. Each week there is assignments with specific goals that will catapult your skillset. Whether you are a seasoned beginner or intermediate to advanced potter this class will be customized to your needs. We will have online discussions (critiques), share our process and struggles, and “what if” conversations about balance, shadow, line, volume, integrated design elements and more. This is always a favorite part of Sarah’s classes.

  • If the time of the class does not work with your schedule you can view the demonstrations at your convenience.
  • This class is offered in 2 parts.

This class is designed for intermediate – advanced potters. However, this class can work for a seasoned beginner. If you are curious whether or not this class is right for you please contact us at <info@thevillagepotters.com>.

Cancellation Policy: Our online classes are non refundable. You will have each class demonstration recording for 90 days following the class.
