Live Online Class: Social Media 101: Instagram for your craft business with Katie Messersmith

Description

If the idea of setting up an Instagram account for your business or pottery studio makes you queasy, this class is for you! We will cover the BASICS, from setting up your actual page, how to post,12-2 tagging, mentions, Instagram Stories, Lives, Reels, and more. You need not already have an account to take this class, and if you already have an account, that’s great too – we will have practical homework each week, and comprehensive video breakdowns showing you the step-by-step process for each activity.

Outline of this Class

Week 1: Elements of your Page, and the Basics

We will break down navigation of the app, what and where everything is and how to connect your account to Facebook (if applicable).

Week 2: Creating a post

Posting Images as a single post, carousel of images, collages, and videos.
Creating a narrative, hashtags, tagging will be included.

Week 3: Reels & TikTokt

Reels: IG’s TikTok – if you’re familiar with one, it’ll help you with the other. We will cover setting up content, editing options, adding text, music,
voice-over, setting cover images, tagging.

Week 4: Stories, Analytics, and Wrap Up

How and when to use stories, how to read and use analytics

*The class is taught on the Zoom platform and will be recorded. It will be uploaded into your membership account on our website no late than 24 hours after the class takes place. In normal circumstances it is in your account within a few hours.
