Live Online Class: “Pushing the Limits, Darting and Altering Your Pots” with Sarah Wells Rolland

4 sessions

Aug 5th – Aug 26th

Day and Time: Fridays Noon-2:00 pm EST (Each session will be 1.5-2 hours with allotted Q&A time)

260.00 (Fee includes all 4 sessions)

Altering pots has been a signature of Sarah’s work for over 30 years. In that time, Sarah has discovered many ways to alter forms to create exciting and unique pots and do it with finesse. There are many nuances to the process and altering your pots greatly develops one’s skill set. Achieving altered pots with integrity of line and developing strong form requires even walls, appropriate thickness, perfect moisture content, even and adjusting tension when altering and design considerations about the form, just to name a few of these nuances. This class is designed to push you to explore, take risks, alter your established forms and try new forms. Sarah will include optional weekly assignments. When the four weeks are up you will have many new techniques in your tool chest.

Each week we will share our pots, ask questions, discuss successes and challenges.

I hope you can join me as we explore pushing the limits of clay!

All our Live Online Classes use a Zoom format, broadcasting from our excellent Education Studio Media Center. We use 3 cameras, providing front, side and overhead perspectives.  Our audio is excellent using a noise canceling microphone. We have a wonderful technical staff.

Participants receive the recordings of each session within 24 hours of each live class. With each weekly recording you receive a step by step guide each week to assist you accessing your recordings.
