Exploring The Teapot with Sarah Wells Rolland

The Teapot, every functional potters glorious pursuit.
In this class will explore all the elements of a teapot; multiple forms, pouring spouts. lids and approaches to handles.

This class is going to be fun and lively. Each week we will have an inspiring slide presentation where we study design elements of wonderful teapots made by potters who have truly mastered  them. We will be challenged and loving it!

The weekly class includes demonstrations, critiques, interactive discussion and weekly assignments.

Over the six weeks we will cover:

  • Throwing with excellence
  • Thrown and slab constructed spouts
  • Inset lids and overhang lids. Lids that fit well and are integrated in the design of the pot.
  • And lastly, how does it pour?

This class is designed for the potter that wants to push into new territory and expand their skill set and it will not disappoint. By the end of this six week session you will be more skilled and an even more passionate potter.

***The class several extra helpful bonus demonstration videos too!

Non refundable: You will have all the class video recordings for 90 days after the last class or purchase date.
