Description

Intermediate: Surface Design working with Silk Screens

When you study with Melanie Robertson you are guaranteed an inspiring experience!

This class is designed twofold; Independent Study for the seasoned hand builder and directed instruction for the beginner.

Melanie will begin each class with demonstration of exciting surface design techniques that can then be applied to the pots you make.

Students will learn how to use their own drawings, other designs and graphics to create multiple transfers that can be applied to both green ware and bisque ware, giving the ceramic student a wonderful surface technique option to add to their “repertoire!” By adding porcelain colored slips and stains, students will experience even more “magic” to the endless possibilities! Many potters have discovered their unique voice in clay in this class.

Includes 25 lbs of Clay and all firings (Miller 65 white/Bmix w/grog cream/Miller 90 red)
