Preparing for Studio Stroll, and Welcome Bernie Segal!!

it takes a Village to rearrange the Gallery!

There is a flurry of activity at The Village Potters, in the Gallery, Studios and Teaching Center as we get ready for Studio Stroll this weekend! In the Gallery, we’re making room for new works arriving, and moving guest artist works into our new Feature Artist wing of the Gallery.
We’ll post a couple of teaser pictures before the week ends, but come by and take a look if you can’t wait for Stroll! We’ll be open later on Friday for a little pre-Stroll preview, then 10-6 both Saturday and Sunday.

In the Studios, some of us are still moving in and getting settled, all the while working

to the last minute to finish new works for our busy November! And in the Teaching Center, plans are underway for a series of activities over the weekend, including some hands-on fun for kids to play in the clay, a chance to decorate your own holiday ornament, and some incentives to sign up for our 10-week Adult Clay Class series or Kids’ Art Camps. We’ll also have full information about our Masters Series Workshops. Matt Tommey is first with a hands on workshop and it’s filling fast!

And in the midst of all that, what we REALLY excited about is our newest addition to The Village Potters.  We are so honored to have ceramic artist and sculptor Bernie Segal join us in our studios!

From Bernie:
“I have spent a lifetime working with sculptural forms. Over the past 30 years, I have developed a curiosity and willingness to take risks that is tremendously rewarding. The result of this alchemy is always original and evocative, an authentic expression of both the stone and myself and our influence on each other.”

Every day there seems to be something new to be excited and grateful for at The Village Potters. We look forward to sharing this excitement with you and hope to see you this weekend at Studio Stroll!!
