We are excited to announce that our Clay Company has officially acquired a new location.

Though The Village Potters Clay Center (TVPCC) recently suffered devastating losses due to flooding from Hurricane Helene, we have been supplying clay since the waters receded. TVPCC is committed to supporting our community and helping meet your clay needs.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ON HOW TO PLACE A CLAY ORDER DURING THIS TIME.

NOTE: For professional potters who have lost their livelihoods due to the storm, we may be able to provide your first clay order at cost, with a small additional fee to cover shipping and credit card processing. If you are a full-time potter whose studio was affected, please reach out to us. This initiative allows us to support the community and help those facing significant financial strain continue their work during this challenging period. Our goal is to ensure that all potters, especially those hardest hit, can maintain their craft and rebuild alongside us.

Guidelines For Ordering Clay

Due to current circumstances, below are some guidelines for ordering clay:

ORDERS IN 50LB INCREMENTS: At this time, we ask that all orders be placed in 50 lbs increments (i.e., a full box of clay). 

PREPAYMENT REQUIRED: All clay orders must be prepaid as we do not have systems in place to receive payment at the temporary warehouse. Once we receive your payment, you can pick up your order during our scheduled pick up days/times (see below). All clay sales are final.

YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED: We kindly ask for your understanding and patience as we navigate this ordering and pick-up process. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community and volunteers who are helping us reestablish our clay company.

Pricing and Quantity Discounts

Pricing varies depending on the clay body and the quantity ordered. Quantity discounts fall within the ranges below. Discounts are applied based on the total weight of your order. 

 50–200 lbs | 250–450 lbs | 500–950 lbs | 1,000–1,950 lbs | 2,000+ lbs

The more you order, the greater the savings! These quantity price breaks make it easy to get the clay you need at the best possible price.

Special Order Clays | Raw Materials | Glazes

The Village Potters Clay Center is pleased to offer special orders for additional Laguna clays, raw materials, and glazes beyond the clays currently in stock. However, please note that we are currently limited to Laguna’s Ohio Clay Stock, and delivery times may range from 2 to 8 weeks.

Regardless of whether you select our in-stock clays or wish to special order clay, please complete the following:

We will then provide you with a price for your order and send an invoice that can be paid online (credit card only please). 

PICK UP LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

Once we have received your payment, you will be able to pick up your clay at the following address:

We will notify you to let you know when you clay is ready to be picked up at the warehouse.

As of Thursday, November 21, 2024, we will have volunteers available for two pick-up windows each week:

• Tuesdays 11 am – 1 pm
• Thursday 11 am – 1 pm

* holidays and weather may impact these hours. You will receive confirmation of your pick up date once your clay order has been placed.

If you just cannot pick up in this timeline, we may be able schedule to meet you at the warehouse. However, please make every effort to pick up during these times.
