Candy Gallaher – ISM Class of 2022
“The ISM program challenges you to work independently, to improve your skills, and find your own style and aesthetics. The experienced TVP resident potters provide excellent examples of how they’ve developed their styles and bodies of work, and are generous in sharing their knowledge and time, making the experience a collegial process.
The potters who go through this program find the mentoring very helpful. The demonstrations and specially created classes help you move out of your comfort zone to create bigger and better forms and feel freer to try new things. And having colleagues to chat with and compare work and ideas leads to a wonderful sense of community.
Like any endeavor, you achieve better outcomes when you put commitment into the effort. This program will help you get there.”
