COVID-19 Pandemic Policies

If you are a visitor, student, resident potter, apprentice, or leaseholder with The Village Potters Clay Center you must read the following and comply with what is required in areas that you occupy.

 

TEACHING CENTER, KILN ROOM, & GLAZE KITCHEN:

Important Instructions due to COVID-19:

  • Masks must be worn upon entering and remain securely on face at all time while inside the facility.
  • Wash and sanitize your hands frequently.
  • You must thoroughly clean areas and equipment you come in contact with after you use them, this includes, wheels, tables, wedging table, sink, tools.
  • Please refrain from coming in if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or be sure to have a negative COVID-19 test before coming in with symptoms.
  • If you begin to experience symptoms of COVID-19 while in the studio you must leave as soon as possible.

For students in weekly classes and workshops: To attend classes and workshops we require that you have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 showing Vaccination card via email before first session. You must wear a mask securely over your nose and mouth at all times while indoors as we have a city wide mandate. Do not register for in-person classes or in-person workshops unless you have received full COVID-19 vaccination dosage and have a vaccination card.

For customers and anyone entering our gallery. We will be happy to supply you with a mask if needed.

 

INDEPENDENT STUDY & MENTORING STUDIO (ISM):

  • Masks required
  • Vaccine required

For ISMers and anyone entering the ISM studio: To enter and work in ISM studio we require that you have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and wear a mask securely over your nose and mouth at all times while indoors.

 

CLAY DISTRIBUTION CENTER (#132):

  • Masks required

Clay may be rolled outside for you to load, and masks are necessary for any loading of clay adjacent to or directly from the Clay Center.
