Last year was so full – thank you to all of you who support, study with, and follow us here! All that we do is built upon education, relationship, and community and that means you! We spent the second half of 2019 planning 2020, we have a line up of great things happening, and we hit the ground running with classes and workshops! Read on for to see how we’re kicking off the year!
We are excited to welcome some stellar artists to our Master Series workshops this year, and Michael and Naomi from Bandana Pottery will start us off on Saturday, February 1 with a one-day demonstration workshop where they will cover techniques including throwing off the hump, altering thrown forms, and carving from a single piece of clay. Space is limited, so secure your seat today. You can register online HERE or by calling!
In March we are off to NCECA 2020 in Richmond, VA. This will mark our third year in a row participating as an education exhibitor. If you are coming, please stop by our table, say hello, get some information about our programs, and a TVPCC button!
Late March, I will be teaching my second Masters Series Hands On Workshop, “Throwing Big”. Last year, all eight students had great success, and we had a wonderful time, too! This workshop is scheduled for March 16-20, and you can register online HERE. It’s already half full, so don’t delay!
From May 11-15, we are really excited to host a Hands on Workshop with Ron Philbeck. This throwing intensive is geared toward improving your throwing skills and helping you develop more ease and confidence with clay. Starting where you are, Ron will lead an exploration of ways to move your work in a forward direction. Spaces are limited in this workshop. Sign up HERE or click for more details!
There is so much more happening at The Village Potters this year. I encourage you to check out our amazing weekly classes if you’re interested in honing your skills, trying something new, hanging out with us, and having a blast! You can peruse our ongoing weekly classes HERE.
We hope you’ll join us at The Village in making 2020 a beautiful year filled with exploration, discovery, creativity, and fun!
