Resident Potter: Melanie Mitchell Robertson

Melanie Mitchell Robertson is a Raku artist and an artist-educator with nearly 30 years of experience teaching and making art. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Art Education and a current member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild. Melanie is the Education Director of the Village Potters Educational Center and she is passionate about developing arts programming for children, the beginning artist and the professional, small business artist. She lives in West Asheville with her husband Mark and has three children and two grandchildren.
