The first half of the month has flown by, busy with moving into our new studio spaces, getting the beautiful Gallery open, and planning and setting up the new Teaching Center, and there’s more to come in the coming weeks! Here’s a little of what we’ve got going on, and we hope you’ll join us!
The Gallery at The Village Potters
We’re now open for business, featuring the work of our five Resident Artists plus that of featured artists from around the region.
Our pages here will be updated soon with photos and bios for all artists, but if you’re in the area, you can visit us Monday – Saturday, from 10am – 6pm and see it all for yourself!
Southern Highland Craft Guild Fair
It’s that time of year again, and in addition to preparing for the opening of The Village Potters, some of our Resident Artists have been busily preparing for this much anticipated gathering of fine artists and craftspeople from around the South. Village Potters Judi Harwood and Cat Jarosz will be exhibiting together at the Asheville Civic Center, October 20-23, be sure to find them!

Under normal circumstances, you’d also find Village Potter Sarah Wells Rolland at the Guild Craft Fair, but this year she’ll be celebrating the wedding of her daughter that same weekend. If you’ve been looking forward to finding Sarah’s beautiful work at the Fair, fear not, for you can still find it at the Gallery at The Village Potters!
We’ll be open that same weekend on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so make plans to head over to the River Arts District before or after you visit all the fine artists downtown!
The Teaching Center at The Village Potters
We are excited to announce our Fall/Winter session of classes at The Teaching Center. These classes include Saturday Kid’s Art Camps and 10-week Adult Clay Classes. Check the link above for details, and there is still time to take advantage of our ‘Early Bird’ Special! Classes begin the week of October 31.
We’re also making plans for our Grand Opening Celebration that will take place next month, on Saturday, November 19. Stay tuned for more info about that, and we hope to see you soon at The Village Potters!
