Join us on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 12-5PM for demonstrations by Sarah Wells Rolland on the wheel, and by Judi Harwood in Raku. Exquisite pieces created exclusively for this event will be on sale, with all proceeds benefiting the Advanced Ceramics Programs and Scholarships at The Village Potters.
What: A multi-kiln opening and day of demonstrations! Sarah Wells Rolland will be showing the finishing touches on many of her most sought-after forms during this day long event. She will also be opening both reduction and Kazegama Wood Ash kilns, filled with her work created exclusively for this event.
As well, Judi Harwood will be demonstrating Raku and other alternative-form firings, and is also creating work specifically for this event, which will be fired and available for sale.
Light refreshments will be served.
Why: This fundraiser will benefit the Advanced Ceramics Program (Independent Study & Mentoring) and Scholarship Fund for The Village Potters Education Center.
